A Ryder Cup–style match play showdown across Monterey's most iconic courses. Two captains. Sixteen players. Three days. One champion.
The LTD Cup brings together 16 of the most competitive golfers for a Ryder Cup–style weekend in Monterey. Captains draft their squads, honor is on the line, and every hole counts.
Two-man team match play at Old Del Monte. Each partner plays their own ball — the better score wins the hole for the team. Four points available, one per match.
Two-man team match play at Black Horse. Partners alternate hitting the same ball each hole — one of the most demanding formats in the game. Four points available, one per match.
Individual match play at Bayonet. Head-to-head, mano a mano — where the Cup is ultimately won or lost. Eight points available, one per match.
Two optional warm-up events lead into the main LTD Cup weekend. Preliminary event attendance is optional but highly recommended - Main Event attendance is very much required.
Captains Kirk Westbrook and Damon Doe made their picks live in San Jose. All 16 players have been drafted and the rosters are set.
12 players competed in a 9-hole simulator tournament on the back 9 at Pebble Beach. Vince Cressio took the win in a playoff over Kevin Conway after a birdie on the par-3 7th.
Full practice round in LTD Cup format. Teams play within their own foursomes (2 DSR foursomes, 2 Doe Boys foursomes). Front 9: Alternate Shot · Back 9: Best Ball.
2-vs-2 match play. Each partner plays their own ball - with their own handicap - and the best net score on each hole counts for the team. Halved matches split the point.

Five venues across the Bay Area and Monterey Peninsula set the stage for the LTD Cup — from a high-tech indoor simulator warm-up to some of the most storied courses in Northern California.
Launch Labs is a state-of-the-art indoor golf simulator facility featuring multiple high-tech hitting bays, full food and beverage service, and an electric atmosphere that makes a competitive round of virtual golf feel anything but casual. A perfect way to kick off the LTD Cup season before the Monterey weekend.
A Fred Couples signature design nestled in the rolling foothills of the Gavilan Range, San Juan Oaks winds through nearly 200 acres of native oak woodland and open meadow. Wide, sweeping fairways give way to undulating bentgrass greens, and the reliable Central Coast breeze keeps scoring honest. Its mix of open parkland and tree-lined corridors makes it an ideal proving ground for teams getting their footing before the main event — with the front nine played in Alternate Shot and the back nine in Best Ball.
Founded in 1897, Old Del Monte is the oldest continuously operated golf course in California and one of the most storied layouts on the Monterey Peninsula. Its classic parkland design features tight, tree-lined fairways that wind beneath towering pines and cypresses, placing a premium on accuracy off the tee rather than raw distance. Where the coastal links courses nearby favor the bold and the bombers, Old Del Monte rewards patience and precision — setting a thoughtful tone for the LTD Cup's opening round of competition.
Part of the Bayonet Black Horse complex on the grounds of the former Fort Ord military installation, Black Horse was originally built to serve the base's soldiers and was renovated and reopened to the public following Fort Ord's closure in the 1990s. The course rolls through open, exposed terrain with elevation changes and prevailing Monterey Bay winds that put a high value on course management. Its unforgiving layout — where a single wayward shot can snowball quickly — makes it the perfect venue for the mental demands of Alternate Shot.
The crown jewel of the Fort Ord courses and widely regarded as one of the finest tests of golf in Northern California, Bayonet has hosted multiple USGA events and earned a devoted following among the Peninsula's most serious players. Dramatic elevation changes, towering eucalyptus corridors, and a back nine that demands both nerve and ball-striking precision make it the most challenging — and most memorable — venue of the LTD Cup weekend. There is no more fitting stage for the final act, where the Cup is ultimately claimed.
